Oatmeal, take 3

I decided to try giving Isaac cereal this morning since after being awake for two hours he was still wide awake and acting hungry again. We've had several failed attempts and only a couple times that he had been interested before.
But this morning, Isaac ate the small bit that I made at first, and then finished off the bowlful that I accidentally poured "way too much" into! He also showed his interest by grabbing for the both the spoon and the bowl, and chewing on his messy fist and arm between bites.
I tried to get a picture, but my camera was dead. :( I'll have to charge the battery more regularly!

I'm back, and I'm a Mom!

Okay, so it has been over a year since I posted on this blog. The reasons for the extended absence are threefold. I created the blog to advertise Dan and myself as prospective adoptive parents, and I never knew what to post about. Then I got pregnant. So, the blog became unnecessary. Finally, life became crazy busy and hectic because of that pregnancy and baby.

Now, I have a five-month-old baby, and I've been taking pictures way more than I ever had before. Life can still be crazy, but I'm no longer juggling Isaac, work, and school. Good thing, because juggling a baby can be dangerous!!

Rather than post stories on Facebook constantly, I am going to attempt to keep up with a blog more often than once a year.

Here's the Big one!

Another great picture from the zoo!

School? yes! Which one? Maybe Kaplan. Which Program? dunno.

So, here I am. I've got a BS in Mathematics, but I just want to teach it. No teaching certification. I'm married, and I'd love to be a stay-at-home mom, but we have no children. My friends are all in debt up to their ears and I'm feeling left out. So, it's back to school for me. I've just got to figure out which track I want to follow. I'd have a much better idea if we knew where we would be going in a year.
Anyway, right now, I'm thinking MAT Iowa Certification track. If only I knew what the future held...

Aunt Sarah and Kaitlyn

Here's Andrea and John's little girl Kaitlyn.

Portraits

The gorilla dragged the blanket
around with him, even on this
warm sunny day.

The camel perfectly posed
for us as Andrea started singing
"Sally the camel has 5 humps
....so ride, Sally, ride!"

Zoo Scenery

How cool is this?! A waterfall in the middle of the zoo!
